TEN-WEEK COURSE

It’s undeniable the body is fascinating and miraculous in the ways it performs in daily movement. Learning the functionality of anatomy, physiology, and science behind yoga philosophy will increase awareness of the body-mind connection. Each student will learn how to highlight certain practices to specific parts of the body in order to better serve their students.

The course will be conducted over ten weeks in zoom and pre-recorded fashion with homework assignments, practicums, and feedback.

Objectives:

  • In this course, you will learn about the nervous system, circulatory system, respiratory system, endocrine system, and the benefits of yoga. 

  • You will learn basic fundamentals of the brain, sections of the brain, and what yoga does to the brain.

  • Learning and understanding fascia. 

  • You will learn functional anatomy to improve movement and awareness during practice.

  • You will learn how to apply the principles of functional anatomy to your own practice as well as your teachings.

What to expect throughout the course:

  • Each week will be a three-hour online session

    • Opening session of meditation

    • Topic overview with PDF handout

    • Lecture

    • Discussion of homework

  • A practicum will be required for each topic throughout the course

  • Certification upon completion

Will the sessions be recorded?

  • Yes, if you miss a session or something comes up, the sessions will be sent to you.
